The KDA series - high-efficiency precision drills

Kyocera's KDA drill series are high-quality coated carbide drills designed for precision machining and suitable for a wide variety of applications in materials such as steel, stainless steel and cast iron. The drill series, which has a unique chip channel design and curved cutting edges, is divided into two types. Type N (Normal) is for general use, and works with external cooling. Type C (Coolant) has internal spiralized cooling channels and is specially developed for demanding environments and machining of, for example, stainless steel.

All drills in the KDA series are coated with an AlCr coating, which significantly increases tool life compared to conventional drill types. The heat-resistant and durable coating of the drills, combined with the unique design, together provide outstanding sharpness, strong cutting edges and excellent chip control.

The diameter range of the KDA series ranges from Ø3 – 16 mm, in sizes 3×D and 5×D.
